Sárga Borház is the official line of the Disznókő estate in Tokaj, run since 1992 by AXA Millésimes — the owner of Château Pichon Baron and Sauternes first growth Château Suduiraut. It is not a second brand: every wine is made at the estate, from estate fruit, by the Disznókő team.
Of the estate's 150 hectares, 112 hectares of vines form a single unbroken block surrounding the cellar — a historic site regarded for centuries as prime terroir for Tokaji Aszú. Volcanic clay soils give richly botrytized wines an uncommon freshness.
The name comes from the "Yellow Wine House" (Sárga Borház), a neoclassical landmark built in the 19th century by Count Lónyay. With a high share of the native Hárslevelű and Zéta varieties, the wines show a notably bright, fresh style within Tokaj.
